BigJ, I know the company I keep. Maybe that makes this a good place to figure out what it means. I guess I just want to know whether it's "just" above average or actually high. Where do you draw the line between the two?Also, I'm sure it must have been an official test. I was the first student to ever skip a grade in my school district and they wanted to make sure it wasn't a loosely set precedent.
I had an interesting conversation with my mother yesterday. We came at the subject kind of sideways, but the short of it is that when I was in third grade, school administrators submitted me to a battery of tests prior to the decision to move me ahead to fifth grade, skipping the fourth altogether. Among them was an IQ test, and yesterday my mom told me what my score was for the first time. It's sort of difficult to know what to think of it, because it was more than half of my lifetime ago and is really only an accurate gauge of me at age nine. On the other hand, I don't feel that my intelligence has noticably changed relative to that of my peers. So there's this part of me that wants to just blurt it out and say what the score was because... GOD DAMN! But then there's this other part that tells me that it's not relevant anymore and that I'd just be a braggart for advertizing it.
