i once saw a man hang a van-gogh with a sledgehammer. it was all quite terribly unexpected.
so i was brought here by the good hands of google - mainly because i was trying to learn more about my fear of all flying stinging things. where i've ended up i'm not quite sure. in any case, i felt that i ought to share my own absurd phobia...on a rainy day, when one has been walking around in the wet and mud and pine needles and tiny pebbles, one gets into one's car. one wipes one's feet on the car mat - it becomes slurred with the traces of one's pedestrian journeys. my fear? that i will have to lick that mat. that those bits of debris will somehow enter my mouth. perhaps not even by licking - perhaps some sneaky sneakster will sprinkle it on my salad when i'm not looking. it bothers me endlessly, especially in spring.
