yup. still humpin gear for the man.

what's the company? there's little to no connection between the GC stores and the other subsidiary stores under the same corporate umbrella, other than some bottom line being scrutinized in some private jet somewhere...

i never learned about glaciers. not that i recall anyway.

lol@summer - summer's been here since like march and it's hot as a MF out here. We have a swamp cooler but it doesn't do squat during Tucson's 'Monsoon Season' (basically rainy and humid usually lasting through late August/early September). We're getting quotes right now for installation of a central air conditioner, and it's not cheap. but we're probably going to do it anyway.

also, have i mentioned we're probably going to be moving back to the Chicago area in about a year?

long story for another time, but yeah...

got back from chicago on tuesday. it was 60 degrees when we left, and 107 in tucson when we arrived. it's freakin hot!

aria is getting so big and learning new things. she has a walker that she has really liked for a while now. but the week before we left, she was really getting used to walking around. still stumbling and misdirected, but significantly more mobile than she had been previously. when we got back, she had gotten even better at it. purposely directing herself around the house and steering quite skillfully. she actually does 3-point turns and walks on the carpet and around the kitchen and down the hallway. and she gives you this big smile while she does it, she thinks she's so clever!

snow. wow. it's like 12034897348723 degrees here in Tucson, AZ.

we go to chicago today. i hope aria does well on the plane. she's quite the stinker when she wants to be (which is lately).

been having frustrating issues at work.

somebody who should have been fired long ago was finally fired a few days ago, after months of documentation on performance and behavioral problems.

now we get a call from our district manager saying that HR has decided they don't want a lawsuit and so we are reinstating the employee.

it's all just way too ridiculous to rehash, but the frustration is getting to me.
