y'all. many good happenings all around here A? allow me adding one of my own.

i've been under attack at work. called in by three of my bosses _again_. The first time, they protected me from outsider concerns. This time, i have only myself to defend an interest higher than what it seems...

This is a formal complaint against a management philosophy. After much
deliberation, i've realized the root cause of my unhappiness in professional
and personal development under such management style for the last year or so.

In a small working group, there are many personalities at play. There is
one kind of personality, 'detail oriented' as one person puts it but
i call it by its real name 'only do what he was told' kind of
subservient person. In indian government, in Chinese governement, in
Italian government, this may be considered a virtue of highest caliber,
but I hope not in American government at all level. 'Only do what he was
told' is a subhuman trait. No matter where, virtue or vice, it will be
replaced by machine programmming sooner or later.

If i wish it to be sooner, i shall excuse myself from environment that
promotes 'only do what he was told' personality and discourage in everyway
those who only wish to 'do what is necessary and do it in different ways for
different good reasons'. If i wish it to be later, i will stay and call
vice by its real name so that virtue will shine through without even
the need of naming it.

insectaturk, i was thinking about this dilemma:

* Law Cannot Give Life
* Lawless destroys existing rich life

Someone also pointed out a twist:
Cursed is everyone who does not obey all of the Law (Deut 27:26)

No one is able to obey all of the law.

Therefore, whoever seeks to obey all the law ("whoever is of the works of the Law) is cursed.

This self amusement came about after reading Pauline Soteriology

dear PJ,
i can't stop my tears to think back of my years with fear that i am dear to nobody but my own ideas.

Awakenings

In a beautiful green valley
Where wild flowers grow
Comes the first blanketing of winter's snow
The clouds up above float luxuriously by
As I lay and stare at the wonderous sky
I can hear the wind whisper thru the trees
And smell the crisp air in the gentle breeze
I can not touch or feel
The feeling is slightly surreal
I cast my eyes down
To see what lays ahead
It is then that I realize that I am dead

My body is draped in a long black dress
My skin is absolutely colourless
It's a frightening feeling I must confess
I can hear the priest saying a few kind words
And in the background the beautiful harmony of birds
Sniffles and sobs reach my ears
I guess I didn't make it to my golden years
My eyes survey the group gathered round
A tear in the eye of each could be found
It is then that I see my only boy
And my love for him shines with so much joy
Suddenly a sadness fills me where once I was glad
As I realize I will never again kiss that sweet lad

He's saying goodbye
And I must too
I just don't know if I have the strength to do
A soft voice calls to me from above
"Come home my child", it says with love
"Come home and be free, Come and live with me"
I yearn to drift into that heavenly grace
But I can't bear the look on my child's lonely face
I drift just a little above
And turn to look back with sadness and love

Be good my son, be happy and carefree
Don't cry or remain sad, think of me and be glad
I will be waiting for you at heaven's gate
There I will sit and patiently wait
And when your work here is done
I will welcome you home
Then you and I will never be alone
I know that he can't hear the words in my head
For I know I am really and truly dead
A gentle hand touches my arm
I know that it is time to go
And so I walk toward the heavenly glow
Leaving no footprints in the brand new snow

'Mami, do you understand darkness?'
( darkness as of Feb 21, 1:35am...)

I prayed to Mary through tears
that holy mother shall ease Greg's breathing
and get him to fall in sleep.
Prayers do hold power
Now He is asleep, oh so sweet
'tis in Mother Mary's divine protection.

'Mami, do you understand darkness'
a question addressed to me out of blue
from a four-year-old little wonder
of my stressed and stretched universe.

oh dear child, infatuated with
his flashlight for more than a couple of days
Always without complains,
takes in mami's raging temperment at times
returns with his tears, hugs and kisses
as natural as a sunny day
chasing after a night's rain.

Darkness comes and darkness goes
Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso.
In the beginning is the Word.
And GOD is with the Word.
God says let there be light and there is light.
But how, through years and my tears, this dark Universe stands alone
In between, life is not what we think or be told
but our very own change of heart, before and after we receive the Word.

'Mami, do you understand darkness'
YES, I DO.
Because through me, you come to this world
you are mine but not mine
I must be brave to let you be
a messenger from that divine place
a sacrifice to God's grace.

Hail Mary, full of grace
God is with Thee
Blessed are thee among women,
Blessed is thy womb, baby Jesus.

may angels be with her, Cinnamongirl.
i lost a friend in July 2003. Her English name was Julia. She took her own life. She was so outgoing and loved telling jokes. Maybe Julia was called up by pimpjuice/PopeOfTrash from lalaland. I'd like to think that Julia is still having fun laughing at the living without loving the killing but doing the killing. Amen.

pastry from the other place:
i just realized something on my way to work. 'Work is life'. Job is a set of tasks that others depend on you so that they may define their 'work' according to their work ethics. My job can coincide and fall into that ambitious set of my work but also my job can be totallly outside the scope of my emotionally invested 'work' as defined by my own ethics or aesthetics. How to resolve tensions arised with 'work' seen from one's own perspective and the immediate job coerced upon you by everyone else surround you, is the problem. In the long run, if one's work can not reduce the load of one's job, he failed in his work.
