smax: When we went to Scandinavia, we rented a car in Oslo and drove through the mountains and back. We did not spend any time whatsoever preparing by learning the meaning of street signs, so it was never clear if we were supposed to stop at certain intersections or not, or was that a stop sign or a do not enter sign, and hilarity like that. My advice, look at a sheet of signs first.
