Ok. i just started jamming with a couple cats recently. sooner or later we're going to have to name this thing. i've had ideas in the past. i don't know if any of them will work. so: help me think of good names. explain them if they rely on some obscure reference or something. also, feel free to comment on anything band-name-related.
without some background or say, motives of the band, it's a little harder.
how abouuuuuuuuuuuuuuut saaaaaaaay charles bronson, no no, thats been taken. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh maybeeeeeee "the earmuff pies" orrrrrrrr del's latitude or maybe "the blind venetian" or how about you just do some mad libs, and then take the stupidest shit that you come up with and make a band name from that. or maybe you should just disregard anything that i said, and ask someone else
...although this great UK saying has doubtlessly been a band name already.
dirty, post-garage/sludgemetal/stonerrock/mathrock(stoner's doing math?) MC5/LedZep/WhiteStripes/Tristeza sound, i guess. hard to say after 2 practices. 2 GOOD practices, but still very early in the game. one proviso: the name cannot start with the word 'the'. im thinking 2 or 3 words long, tops.
ourband@h0tmail.com... for the band namd. Haha. And see how long it takes before you get sued.
the blue stripes? how about....Airwolf vs Blue Thunder?
neil kaufman. you should name your band after this weird-o guy that approached both my roommate chris and i but on entirely separate occasions and without knowing we knew each other. he gave us both his card and that's how we made the connection.
Way way way back, Peter Swimm had a list of potential band names. Very, very long. I remember liking _Bring Me The Head of Rae Dawn Chong_ best
or randy, randy
I'd have to say the best band name ever would be "the band" has that been used before?
"credence clearwater revival" -- it has a good ring to it
there is a band called "The Band." I think they're some classic rock band.I like "Flock of Killer Seagulls" myself.
since i'm sort of maybe might be in the band, how 'bout: monsters afoot
well, you'll see how hard it is to come up with a name that everyone agrees on. for a few weeks i was bringing like 5 or 6 different names i had come up with that i thought would work for us. every name gets shot down for a lame reason. e.g. - Lament. i thought this would be a cool name. but john said it sounded too much like 'Lemont' which is a town nearby here.
I don't remember who back home came up with this but I do recall it involved an acid trip at some lesbian nude beach in Olytown that my buddies crashed.Drum roll please...
The Sparkl'n Nasties
I'm pretty sure it's not copywrited.
I guess you didn't want 'the' in the title. Your loss!
Captain rules.
He's locked alone in a yellow brick tower, forlorn and beside himself.
i miss you, william.
...is the buzzer not working, again?
getting witty in your years, huh captain?
The Superblocks
A friend of mine plays in an Irish type band called Swagger... perfect in my opinion.
