Well, I'm writing a paper that I have had all semester to work on, and I'm doing about 80% of it in the 10 hours before it is due. and right now i am tired and bored out of my skull and sick of B.S.ing about Addiction and Recovery. So this is the thread to talk about the ways in which we procrastinate, and generally waste time when we most definitely have Better Things To Do. incidentally, I have checked both my email addresses several times (even though nobody in their right mind would email me at 4am) checked this place and 2 other messageboards several times, and played Vegas Solitaire to -$1000 and a few rounds of Minesweeper. I am lame sometimes. I admit it freely. the one saving grace about not having a job is that i can come home and crash after class and be able to get enough rest before my class tonight.
You mean other than this? Most of my wasted time at work is spent on here. Most of my wasted time at home is spent lying pathetically on my couch thinking that I should get off the couch and go to bed....
I saw this entree a couple of days ago and put off posting in it until today.
true procrastinators will not get around to posting here for a while.
I read the Diner. I read other weblogs and such. I read news online. I write email. I check my email. I occassionally convince my coworkers to play xtris. I rarely, but sometimes, play kmahjongg. When I'm not in front of a computer, I tend not to procrastinate. But I work on computers and with computers all day long.
Not being in school anymore, i dont procrastinate much. But back in the day, it was mostly spider solitaire, freecell, jezzball, PunchClockPanic, and nesticle
is definitely my single biggest time-waster.I'm going to go stop reading the diner and start cleaning my room right now.
I suggest you do the same.
I play the Sims. When I procrastinate, you know, laundry piling up, drowning in the sea of toys, birdseed scattered all over the floor... man, my Sims are PERFECT. Their houses are clean, their friendships are high and their moods are perfect. The internet used to be a bigger one than it is now. I'm no longer so enamored of it. I like this bbs, and another one I post on, and I check my email. Oh and I read the post too. But that's it, really.
and boy am I good at it.
Click on entrees and scroll until you find an entree name that you swear you've never heard of and read the entries, all or just a part... It is like a time capsule that you didn't plan and that is much more interesting because of it...just tried this with "Who's who read hot chili bowl" which was full of entertainment value (and I'd seriouly forgotten that it existed though seemingly I created the thing) but I was laughing out loud at our lists...
