I don't know if any of you have seen this game, or heard of it. but I've been playing it for a week now, and it's pretty cool. way too addicting! it's cooler than it even looks! very fun. very challenging. i like it a lot. Jackie got it for me for quitting smoking! how lovely of her! now she's mad when i stay up til 3am playing it and i don't come to bed! anyway, post comments/stories here. if nobody posts here, i suppose we could turn this into an entree about REAL guitar heroes. who are yours?
Just two weeks ago Scott (Vanessa's husband) loaned us his Guitar Hero. Dude, it's the most wonderful video game in the whole world... I mastered the medium level... but couldn't even get past the first two songs under the hard level.When my little brother comes to stay with us for the summer I am buying him Guitar Hero. So I can play it all of the time.

i've got a friend of a friend who is in need of a guitar hero. she's a blues singer, reasonably good, with shows under her belt. i don't know if she plays any instruments.email me if you can help her find a player.

I can beat most of GH on the Hard level, and I'm about halfway through the Expert setting. I keep getting stuck on the solo in Megadeth's Symphony of Destruction. that's frustrating.
Baggins, I can't believe that you actually are so far along in that game! Holy Cow. I thought I was the shit for getting through the medium level! Congrats dude.

I play guitar. I can play a lot of those songs on the guitar (often easier than i can play them on the game!) I breezed through Medium level. Hard is where it gets pretty hard. and then Expert is ridiculous. so far, I Wanna Be Sedated and Stellar on expert are my favorite songs to play. and Killer Queen. they're really fun. also, Iron Man is still boring to play, even in this game.
My freind Sten has two GH controllers and my son Ethan and I like to duel. It's a fantastic game. Glad someone brought this up. I hope to get in some playing time soon (I don't have a PS2 and so have to rely on my freinds').Oh, and hey wags.
I heard the new version is coming out in the fall and it has two controls... one is a bass!!! So two people can play simultaneously... one on bass and one on lead, lol! I can't WAIT!
so somehow i mangled my way past Megadeth and now i can't quite fake it through Crossroads. i think my controller doesn't respond fast enough.also, Jackie bought me a 2nd controller, but it's the 'other' guitar you can get for it. it's supposed to be some sort of shredder typoe guitar. the proportions are the same though, and the strum/pick toggle switch is a bit loose for my tastes and i dont' feel like the fret buttons respond properly.
i can't wait for GH2. i'd love to rock it out w/ loser and son.
sitting around at my buddies trailer last night and for some reason a couple of them got up, left, came back a half hour later with GH and 2 controls. That thar's a good game if i do say so. LIke DDR for the fingers. Totally cool, i really enjoyed a lot of the songs they had, I hope they'll come out with an xbox version.....
i doubt it'll come out for xbox. but Guitar Hero 2 comes out soon. I'm looking forward to that.
ok. so i was playing about a month ago with a friend who is also a guitar enthusiast and GH enthusiast (he played the tele in my wedding), and up that point i still hadn't beat Crossroads. and you have to beat Crossroads to go on to the last 5 songs for the Expert Setting. well, i turn on the game, and i tell him "dude. watch me play. i can't beat crossroads. i'll get to the 2nd solo and i'll choke, i always do." and i proceed to shred it up on Crossroads. so of course, i'm stoked and i go on the last 5 songs on the game, which are incredibly hard. and he tells me that Texas Flood by SRV is the only song HE can't nail on Expert. and I proceed to tear it up 5stars on the first time i attempt Texas Flood. I was happy. I guess I just get SRV's phrasing on that song.CFH is still a bitch, though.
