This entree is devoted to that blessed food - ice cream. What's your favorite kind? Have you ever gotten ice cream rom the ice cream truck? Where was the best ice cream you ever had?
with all the politics and IQ and World Going to Potpies talk, we needed something light and creamy. Mmmm.... ice cream. I just had myself a nice Breyers butter pecan. I like Breyers natural ice cream best lately.
starbuck's mud pie ice cream is perfection.
Moosetracks by far. Vanilla ice cream, with thick pieces of soft fudge, and mini Reese's Peanut Butter cups. F***, kill me now.I also enjoy a small chocolate cone from Dairy Queen every once in a while.
but I have to say almost anything from coldstone creamery is high on my list. coffe ice cream, oreos, almonds, heath bar, fudge, and whipped crea. My favorite combination, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmAlthough I do love Breyer's extra creamy vanilla with the Trader Joe's tripple berry mix on it (raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries) oh that's good stuff!
Breyer's mint chocolate chip. The only icecream close is another mint chocolate that I've only seen at a small icecream stand in Iron River, MI... But it might not be the flavor, I might just associate going there and getting a cone with happiness.
I love their cheesecake ice cream with graham cracker crust bits, fresh strawberries and blueberries, all in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Ahhhhh.... it's too bad a human can't eat unlimited quantities of ice cream.smax - that's my little sister's fave too and is in my freezer right now. (she lives with me for the summer)
SOY DREAM green tea flavor.
would that be Burger N Cones, smax?I like the ice cream at work alright. I like making a banana oreo shake. sometime i like putting peanut butter in it,
ice cream is good.
i also like moose tracks, and butter pecan.
All time fave is definitely Peppermint Chocolate Chip -- or Peppermint Bon Bon -- as it was called when I was at grandma's. Moosetracks is a close second.
so many people liked moosetracks? i consider myself a big ice cream fan. i don't like moosetracks. it's too much.
i've always been especially fond of peppermint ice cream. i can only find it around Christmas...
In two weeks I will be eating a Mackinac Island Fudge cone from Burgers N Cones....
Moosetracks has "Mackinaw Island fudge" in it....at least in the U.P.
No, although Burger's and Cones has some darn good icecream. I usually got Mackinac Island Fudge (furse you Amy!) there because they didn't always have mint chocolate chip. This is a small stand off a side street. I think it's left on the intersection just before Stott's. Jules and I used to go there some nights to get away from camp. They only had about 10 flavors but it was nice and really cold. They had a pic-nic bench out back too.
Oh... you may not want to hear about my diet. Let's just say my cheesecake and icecream intake is much higher than the average person. I like my matabolism.
Smax and Baggins,
I regret to inform you that Burgers N Cones is dead. It passed on quietly a few years ago without any fuss or fanfare. Pam's Creative Cakes and Tattoos has replaced it in the lives of Iron River residents...
And no, I didn't have any Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream while in the UP. Shame. Damn shame.
I was never a big fan of burgers and cones. I just hope the little shop down the street is still there. Jules knows the name, but I forget. Times they are a changin'
Definitely the best "healthy" ice cream by far. You can still tell that it's not quite as creamy (read: fatty) but it tastes so great that it doesn't really rob the experience for me like most healthy ice creams. Plus, they actually put stuff in the ice cream A quart of Healthy Choice peanut butter cup ice cream has about 5 minuscule pb cups per quart.Oh, and FEoTD.
I think blue bunny just won some awards for their light type frozen products. If you can get away from the cream part of it, I recommend the Raspberry Açai bars, hi in aox apparently.
