My favorite Janeane Garofalo comedy bit was one I saw on Comedy Central where she makes fun of Mentos commercials and the punch line is, "What the fuck, are they german?" Or something to that effect. funny stuff

We rented Wet Hot American Summer a week ago or so. Funny stuff. Karna pointed out that the movie is broken down into little episodes (sort of) and is like watching a bunch of hilarious camp skits in a row.

Janeane had her upcoming TV show cancelled. I'll bet it was a laff riot too. I hope the pilot leaks out and get's shown with the other network or something. I really should have seen that when it was in DC, they ran it two programs both of which looked great (1, 2). oh well.

What I love about Wet Hot American Summer is that it all takes place in one day, that's one jam packed day!

I love that movie, posted 11 Jun 2003 by ConeyIsland81 » (Fixture)

Wet Hot American Summer was great. My girlfriend and I lost our minds watching that movie. So many good one-liners too. I was lucky enough to catch it for free (well, not really) on Starz about a month ago. The scene where one of the counselors crashes the van made my gut hurt.

Does anybody remember the old MTV show called "The State"?

hell yeah, posted 11 Jun 2003 by baggins » (Fixture)

the state rules

The State, posted 11 Jun 2003 by pedro » (Staff)

The State was perhaps what made me fall so deeply, deeply in love with andronicus when we were roomates. We still quote it all the time. I traded him my copy of Plan 9 From Outer Space for his copy of 6 hours of The State. I still have it, in addition to the tapes Andy made for me for singing in his wedding. Muhahahahaha!

there's an online petition to mtv to release the state on dvd, of course, you know how online petitions go, the higher ups, if a when the hear about it will probably just tell everyone to dip their balls in it.

I think I'm experiencing a generational gap, however slight. (I'm being painfully generous)
