i just was thinking that there should be a page just for king's x. for one, those people that don't care to know about kx don't have to read about them then in the jukebox. but, this way the few that do, have a section to chat about all that is X. sorry that was lame. i hope ake will even post once and awhile.
here are a few other pages
King's X dot net
Kramer's Korner
The King's X Comprehensive Discography
i was screwing around tonight and found these rad videos.
also i bought tickets today to see kx with dream theater and joe satch!
joe satch: Joe Satriani (sah-tree-AH-nee), blah blah guitarist blah, not as good as Ty Tabor of Kings X, blah.
I thought it was a euphemism for the female genitalia.
speaking of euphemisms, whatever happened to THAT thread?
Just what kind of joint is Pedro run'n here?
have a favorite album?
10 favorite non "hit" songs?
i would have to say that "ear candy" and "dogman" are my favorites. i go back and forth. if i could only have one it would dogman but, ear candy is more my speed these days. dogman is really dark and there was a time where i was in that place. ear candy seems to be a bit more of i am finding out who i am.
favorite songs
Life Going By- "...I've sat there in awe and I've seen myself fall and I've felt the full light of the day...Turned my back to the glory and walked the tenth story and come back to knock on your door."
April Showers
Lover - "...You want to be my friend But I want to be your lover..." bit to close to home.
Pretend - the 12-string bass gets me every time.
Don't Care - one of the greatest endings.
Pillow - there is sooo much low end in this song.
Not Just For The Dead - "and some times i don't give a sh!#"- right ake?
We Were Born To Be Loved - true. true. the end is the also the only ending better than "don't care."
Over And Over - "...If I hurt you, I don't mean to Please forgive me, Got no excuse..."
Cupid - "...I ain't over you, but it's gonna change, Cupid shot the wrong guy..." this was me three four years ago. i am much better now!
if you can download mp3's please check this out,
Not Just For The Dead from summerfest in Milwaukee, WI 06/28/1992.
the rest of the show at Kramer's Audio
I don't knwo about favorite album, but I keep listening to tapehead, even though only half of it its any good. But the half they got right is so good. Groove Machine, Over and Over, Cupid, Ocean, and Little Bit Of Soul have been the tracks I listen to when I walk Dakota late at night. I'm going to check out those downloads when I get home tonight.
are you saying you don't happy or world? cause those songs rules. maybe you need to take dakota on longer walks!
mr. tabor turned 41 yesterday.
i think this leg four of the manic moonlight tour. first was last year then this summer which they came to chicago then crystal lake two months later, and then with dream theater, and now this tour!!
Crystal Lake was too much for them to handle? Or what?
fools you all have to go! dec. 1st !!!!!!!!!
Look, I know you guys aren't all huge King's X fans like Phil and I are, but I can pretty much guarantee that if you go to this show your faces will be rocked off -- we really should try and get a bunch of people to go...!
...that bunch of people does not include me.
I don't think it even occurred to me to ask you.

So is King's X opening for Ronnie James Dio or is it like a double bill? And who is this Dio guy anyway?
they're totally opening for Dio. as in Ronnie James Dio's band, DIO. then again, maybe its a double bill. i can't say for sure. Mr. Dio used to front Black Sabbath, after Ozzie left for bigger and brighter horizons... Mr. Dio also fronted a band called Rainbow.
I find it funny that captian was even in this little entre here...maybe he was pining for the chords of a glorified dinosaur band as I remember him refering to kings x.
I remeber listening to Dio with Colin Odonell in a tent next to his folks place in the trailer park when I was in 7th grade... I also remember shooting the tape up with a bb gun the next summer after some charismatic speaker convinced all the jr. highers to destroy satan's influence in their lives... Why he didn't have them toss their tv's on the fire I'll never know.
cause their parnets would be very mad at the speaker if he told them to throw out the t.v.
ake will you come down for this show? six years of seeing kings x and i've still not gone to a show with you.
...just amusing myself.
will you be back before sunday? i'm guessing not. oh well. maybe they will do a fifth leg of the tour.
Monday at the earliest, possibly Tuesday. I will definitely be back Tuesday night at the latest.

dogman cdThis guy has to be a complete idiot. He's supposedly auctioning off a copy of King's X "Dogman" on EBAY....now look at the ad!!!He has an R.E.M. cd picture there instead, and would you look at his opening bid,and buy it now price...$125 & 130.00!!!!!!!!He has it listed as a going out of business sale, I would guess so if he tries to sell stuff for crazy prices like this intentionally, he CANT be that stupid....can he???The best part....shipping will be calculated after sale(cant afford to send it for free at that price, I guess .He's also got at least 6 more copies of it lited on EBAY simultaneously, one other at the same ridiculous price and 5 more at BUY IT NOW for $35...WOW, what a bargain!! And every cd he has listed has the same damn REM cd cover shown!!
thats 10 minutes from my house. as in 5-7 stoplights. im not sure exactly where Confetti's is, though i know the intersection. i believe bluestone played a show in a bar there.
i think oldpossums is in. baggins, pedro, raskol?
FISHBONE, KING'S X
Abbey Pub, 5/17, on sale noon Saturday (1/25)
woah...fishbone is still around?
one of the first "shows" i ever went to was tucson's own the weird love makers with fishbone.
that was in 1995.
my band played with the weird love makers in 1999.
i found the web page for the bar that they are playing in lemont called conffetti's.
feb. 21st.
actually, the sign says Sean Kaley's. you won't see confetti's anywhere noticeable on the signage outside. at least, i drive by it like twice a day usually, and i have never seen it. but i know exactly where Sean Kaley's is. you guy should come down to my crib that night and then hit the show. it's seriously less than 10 minutes away from my house. i just drove by it about 20 minutes ago.
hey dude, would you stop by and find out how much tickets are and stuff? if not i'll try and find the number and give them a call. whats that place like? i wonder if they would let me tape the show.
maybe. it's kind of a hot night spot down here. at least, the lot is always full and the place seems to be jumpin from the outside. i guess that's what you get when you have jell-o wrestling, though. i've never been there before. i have a sneaking suspicion they'd let you tape it.
i was talking about taping the king's x show not jello wrestling just in case anyone was wondering.
i don't think anybody thought you were talking abou taping a jell-o wrestling match dog.
oldpossoms i think is in for next friday. i'll try and call today to see what the deal is with tickets.
well, i tried calling but, their phone system doesn't work vey well. so, i'll try again tomarrow or later tonight. but, i'm planning on going. so, wags if i don't see you at goose give me a call tomarrow or e-mail me directions to your house.
the show was awsome! both king's x and fish bone rocked. the new stuff is amazing!. i'm still in awe of the black like sunday stuff. the new album come out tomarrow. i am so looking forward to the new record. i have a feeling it will be their best sence ear candy.i got the chance to chat with jerry a little which was cool. i talked to ty about record mixing and studios and such which was awsome. great conversation with him. and then the high light of the evening was hugging dougs mom.

Black Like Sunday
there should be one or two more that i don't remember.
Some of the tunes on Black Like Sunday are from the band's early days when they were known as "The Edge" and later "Sneak Preview". Rather than just release stale versions recorded 20 years ago, they re-recorded them using their current gear and technology. This will give these tunes, that laid the foundation of what would become King's X, a more modern sound.
Fri 10/24/03 Lemont, IL @ Sean Kaley's
i believe this is with fishbone again.
right by my house. although my parents will probably have moved by then (which means me too).
who's heard it?
tim hawk, myself, and a few of the guys from buddy nuisance went to see kx last night at martyrs. good times. down side was f'n ticketbastard charged 6.50 fee on top of a 20 ticket, which just ended up being at will call show. which pisses me off, if your not even printing tickets and mailing them why the hell i'm i paying you 6.50? the other down side of martyrs was they didn't have the show scheduled till 10. so, opening band (spinal tap) plays the kx doesn't even take the stage till around 11:30. so, they only played for about an hour and a half. but, the show was cool. it's great to see them playing just as well, if not better than ever. the new stuff is cool. i think some of it works better than recorded but, check it out at king's x my space page
