Notes: I am so prone to complain all the time, I want to start trying to balance it out with sharing the cool things too. If there is already a specific place to do this, scratch this and point me in the right direction. If not, this is the anti-complaint place.

um... so I'm an idiot., posted 12 Jan 2003 at 00:11 UTC by ake » (Fixture)

ok.. So, I didn't know what url meant. If it's screwed up, I hope pete will come to the rescue.

anyway... what I wanted to share... I was having a shitty day subing on friday afternoon, two overfull health classes of freshmen, literately nothing from the teacher to keep them busy... just sat back and hoped they atleast didn't fight... But then, seventh hour, Advanced gym... I had some help with attendance, it's a big class and student's were everywhere but near me... Then, most of them were playing hoops, a few were in the weight room, and there were four or five in the corner of the gym, near the doors to outside. I figured they were waiting for me to look the other way so they could slip out and smoke a j... they were the spikey haired pierced and studded of the small town school. Then I noticed a familiar rythm to their circle and saw a small ball passing between them. I spent the rest of my day in a hack circle, on the clock. IF that isn't every college slaker's dream. Paid to play hack. I was in heaven... Especially since I was still every bit as good as the best of them.

i found a great dresser next to our dumpster, but in relatively good condition. my roommate chris and i hauled it upstairs and it now rests comfortably in my room. not as inexpensive but close were the two items my roommate sunny and i found at a garage sale: an old rolling pin that still works and is clean for a buck, and a cool old coach bag for two dollars. because this is anti-complain i won't tell you about the two items i couldn't afford to buy at the same garage sale.

i'm thankful for things I can't afford to buy, posted 20 Jan 2003 at 12:45 UTC by pedro » (Tourist)

It keeps me humble.

two fresh loads of laundry!

new checks from a new bank~

the sun is shining and the neighbors aren't arguing, yelling at their kids or generally making any noise. oh! what if they killed each other?!

no, i think they are just quieter on weekends when everyone is home and can hear them.

i think i'll make pancakes for the roommates.

I have all the different kinds of shoes I need for everything I have to do in a year. I have an orange easy chair that I enjoy looking at. No one I love is angry with me at the moment. The world has way more insects in it than humans. My age is a prime number. The diner cheers me up.

This is a good exercise that I need, since I am usually miserable, for the last 5 months anyway.

Let's see...

My parents are still alive.

I planted a garden today.

I get to be alone for a few hours tonight.

Paper birches.

While I was writing this I caught a woodtick on my back before it embedded its head in me.
